The reason 4-5 hours is suggested is to ensure that the bulk of the nutrients ingested in the last meal are absorbed before your body begins to metabolise alcohol. The meal you eat here is meant to be large, large enough to keep you full and sustained until you start drinking so in theory, you concern shouldn&#039;t be an issue. However, if following this approach leads to you getting drunk quicker then I would certainly eat the last meal later. Thanks again and glad you&#039;re liking the blog.]]></description>

Anyway, I&#039;ve found that waiting 4-5h after a meal to drink is not the best advice. Your previous Freshers Fat article recommended 2-3h, which is what I always aim for!

That&#039;s mainly because if I drink on an empty stomach, I tend to get drunk quite easily. If I drink a short while after eating, though, I can drink and party all night.

My favourite advice is fasting the next day and everything about drinking water!]]></description>
