I figure I post so much on your facebook page I might as well get a long here. A lot of details sadly must be left out, as well the fine details of a style are passed down from student to master when they are trusted. So keeping in trust with my Sifu I will not be sharing certain details about my trainin, BUT I will share as much as I can.
I will explain a little about my the system I follow. The very simple way is there is a cartoon here in the states (may be international) called avatar the last air bender (do not think of the movie the martial arts is all wrong) that depicts a lot of styles and concepts VERY accurately. My system is known as hung gar and the Earth benders in the series were based off of us, except toph she is a hung gar/mantis hydrid lol.
We are known for our strength and our very powerful rooted stances. Using chi a master of hung gar does actually become immovable, and yes I have see this with my own eyes. It is a rather crazy thing to witness. We are meant to fight at very close range and the joke is if we have to we could fight our way out of a bathroom stall. And in all honesty you can practice in a shower lol
There are many linage of Hung Gar. I am of the Wong Fei Hung linage, so my system is not just a tiger crane, but a 5 animal system.
So i tend to follow a mostly keto diet 95% of the time, carbs don't sit well with me.
